The Jolly-McGregor
Many folks enjoy the Jolly-McGregor Cabin for its “end of the road” location. It has a very large and private side yard with a built in gas grill, a table for two, and a sitting area with a gas fire pit for enjoying the stars at night or the forever views during the day.
The Jolly-McGregor is named after Malcolm McGregor and Susan Jolly. Malcolm was one of the first settlers to Georgetown back in 1872-1873. He was also the original land owner of the patented mining claim that Georgetown Cabins was built upon. This property remained in the family for many, many years until 2007 when Susan Jolly, a descendant of Malcolm McGregor, and several of her cousins decided to sell this beautiful piece of property to the Eickhoffs. Malcolm’s mine at Georgetown was the second highest producing mine in the area. Malcolm later became a county commissioner, statesman and a land developer in Silver City and Grant County. Just bring your food, drink and overnight bag, and you will be all set to sit back, relax and enjoy!
